Abdellaziz Doghmane, Emeritus Professor, received his Ph.D. (1985) and M.Sc. (1982) degrees in Physics from The University of Dundee (Carnegie Laboratory of Physics), Scotland, (U.K.). He joined, in 1986, Annaba University (Algeria) where he was promoted to full Professor in 1993 and to Emeritus Professor recently (2025); he is a the Director of Semiconductor Laboratory and Responsible of Post-Graduate studies in semiconductors and applications. His early research focused on amorphous silicon and its applications to microelectronic devices. His large fields of research activities include: nondestructive evaluation, semiconductors, acoustic microscopy, ultrasonics, nanophysics. He is the author and/or co-author of more than 300 international scientific contributions (papers & communications). Meanwhile he supervised dozens of Ph.D, Master and Magister PG Students. Prof. A. Doghmane introduced, initiated and pioneered the Semi-conductors physics and applications (Formation & Research) at UBMA and in Algeria via the First Openings and launch of : Magiter (1986), DES (1995), Semi-Conductors Laboratory (2000) Master (2008), Doctorate, LMD (2010). He occupied several academic and administrative responsibilities: Rector of Skikda University, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Vice-Rector of international relations, Director & Founder of Semiconductor Laboratory, Member of the Supreme Council of Education (Presidency), Member of New York Academy of Science (USA), invited Professor (France), Member and/or Participant in numerous international scientific conferences all over the world, Referee in several Scientific Journals, President, rapporteur and/or member of Thesis Juries, etc. He also served (or serves) as head of international and national research programs (CMEP, CNEPRU, PNR, PRFU, etc.) as well as an active scientific expert and counselor in most national scientific committees and agencies such as: * ANDRU (Agence Nationale pour le Développement de la Recherche Universitaire), * ATRST (Agence Thématique de Recherche en Sciences et Technologie), * DGRSDT (Direction Générale de la Recherche Scientifique et du Développement Technologique), * CNE (Commission Nationale d'Équivalence), * CNEPRU (Comité National d’Évaluation et de Programmation de la Recherche Universitaire), * CFD (Comté de Formation Doctorale), * CMEP (Comité Mixte d'Évaluation et de Prospective), * CSD (Conseil/Comité Scientifique du Départent), * CSF (Conseil Scientifique de la Faculté), * CSU (Conseil Scientifique d'Université), * CUN (Commission Universitaire Nationale), * PNR (Projets Nationaux de Recherche), * PRFU (Projets de Recherche Formation-Universitaire). .
