Quality Control in the Steel Manufacturing Process, Case of the Algerian Qatari Steel Complex, Jijel, Algeria
This dissertation provides an in-depth analysis of quality control during steel production at the AQS Bellara Factory in Jijel. The main objective is to examine how quality control practices affect the interactions between the various components of the steelmaking process, and therefore, the final properties of the steelmaking process. steel. By highlighting the crucial importance of quality control in the steel production process, this study underlines its fundamental role in guaranteeing the quality of finished products. The results presented provide valuable insights for the optimization of quality control practices at the AQS Bellara Jijel Factory, aimed at improving the quality and reliability of steels produced. The recommendations formulated can thus serve as a guide to strengthen quality control processes and to maintain high quality standards in steel production.
Study of the Physico-Chemical Characteristics of Waste from the Kherzet Youcef Mine, Sétif, Algeria
This study aims primarily to characterize mining waste and select appropriate management methods based on this characterization. The characterization of the waste includes physical, mineralogical, chemical, and granulometric analyses, allowing for the identification of main components and potential contaminants. In terms of management, various techniques such as desulfurization, the use of oxygen barriers, and impermeable covers are evaluated for their effectiveness in reducing water infiltration and limiting residue oxidation. The results show a significant improvement in water quality due to these treatments, highlighting their relevance. This integrated approach offers a framework for more sustainable and environmentally responsible mining waste management.
Analysis and Evaluation of Occupational Risks, Case of the Kherzet Youcef Mine, Ain Azel, Sétif
The mining sector is renowned for being a very risky working area, with dangers ranging from fatal collapse to inhalation of particle inhalation suspended in the air, therefore, control and prevention measures must be implemented in order to protect workers lives, this requires in- depth studies to identify and evaluate the related professional risks. Several methods to mitigate or prevent these risks exist, in this study, we expose the occupational risks linked to the Kherzet Youcef mining complex of Ain Azel- Setif, our study aims to know, evaluate the risks and dangers by assigning a level and classifying them according to their degrees of criticality using a risk matrix and then proposing the appropriate prevention and management methods in order to eliminate these risks, if necessary.
