Dr. Mehdi Nafa is a senior lecturer and researcher in computer science, specializing in networks, cybersecurity, and enterprise digital transformation. With over 20 years of experience, he combines strong technical expertise with a deep commitment to education, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université d'Évry Val d'Essonne (France 2009), a researchbmaster from univesity of Poitiers (France 2005), a State engineering dégrée from Univesity of Annaba (Algeria 2003) and is currently affiliated with Network and Systèmes research laboratory in Univesity of Annaba Algeria. Dr. Nafa is a founding member of the Laboratoire de Réseaux et Sécurité (LRS) at the University of Annaba, where he mentors graduate students and leads projects at the intersection of IT, AI, and societal challenges — such as agricultural optimization (Sabba), digital identity, and blockchain-based intrusion detection systems. His academic interests span from smart city infrastructures and IoT security to the socio-historical impact of migration and postcolonial memory, the latter forming the basis of his current postdoctoral research project hosted by a Paris-based research institute. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Nafa is an active entrepreneur and innovation facilitator. He manages a startup incubator, supports student entrepreneurship under Algeria’s Law 1275, and regularly contributes to strategic training programs in Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, and GIS technologies.
