Résumé: Arabic linguistic studies, which address the central subject of language, have undergone significant qualitative development. This progress is particularly evident following engagement with diverse linguistic theories—both American and European—and the application of linguistics in various fields, including literary studies, speech pathology, computational linguistics, and pedagogical studies. These efforts aim to reveal the structures of the Arabic language, provide novel descriptions, and apply this knowledge to address related issues. This development has positively influenced academic research in Algerian universities. Researchers have increasingly adopted linguistic theories to analyze the Arabic language, leading to a substantial body of applied research that aligns with various established trends in modern Arabic linguistic scholarship. This paper focuses specifically on the descriptive approach. The objective is to assess the extent to which these contemporary works adhere to the rigorous standards of scientific practice required for accurate linguistic description.
