Résumé: Emily St. John Mandel’s Station Eleven provides a profound examination of a post-pandemic reality, in which the disintegration of civilization caused by the Georgia Flu serves as both a tangible and metaphorical framework. This article analyzes the novel's thematic exploration of global pandemics, emphasizing the survival, memory, and resilience of human groups following these devastating occurrences. This perspective focuses on the significance of art, especially through the Traveling Symphony, which maintains cultural continuity during societal disintegration. Station Eleven, through its complex depiction of survival, examines the potential for individual and communal transformation after a worldwide catastrophe, so enriching the discourse on how pandemics alter society and human identity in literature.

Résumé: the article dealt withthe intersection of eco-trauma and narrative agency in Richard Powers’ The Overstory, a novel that intricately interweaves human and arboreal lives to foreground ecological consciousness. The study examines how characters respond to ecological devastation not only through environmental activism but also through storytelling—positioning narrative as a mode of resistance and survival. By analyzing key characters and their interactions with trees, the paper highlights how eco-trauma catalyzes a transformation in narrative voice, challenging anthropocentric paradigms and reimagining agency as shared between humans and the nonhuman world.

Résumé: The study explores the intricate interplay between visual arts and literature in Thomas Pynchon's postmodern novel, Gravity's Rainbow. Published in 1973, the novel is renowned for its complex structure, eclectic style, and thematic depth, all of which are significantly influenced by contemporary visual art movements. The analysis explores specific examples from the text, highlighting Pynchon's use of visual motifs, intertextual references to artists like Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock, and the novel's thematic parallels with existentialism and media culture. Through this examination, the case study underscores the novel's significance in pushing the boundaries of postmodern literature and its lasting impact on both literary and visual art fields. The findings suggest potential avenues for future research on the cross-disciplinary influences that continue to shape the artistic landscape.

Résumé: This study aims to analyze Buchi Emecheta's The New Tribe through exploring themes of diaspora and displacement and shedding the light on the characters' experiences both within and outside their country of origin by having a harmony of two different cultures; one that is conventional and another that is contemporary. Through a postcolonial lens, we examine how Emecheta's work offers a fresh outlook on the challenges of displacement, belonging, and self-formation in the postcolonial world highlighting the significance of Emecheta's contributions to the study of diaspora and alienation, offering insights into cultural assimilation and navigating diverse societies.

Résumé: Edward Said’s Memoir, Out of Place, challenges travel writings conventions by proposing a new definition of exile. This study aims at investigating the narrative aspects of diaspora and the new concept of exile as depicted in Said's narrative by analyzing his personal experiences of exile and dislocation. Understanding the importance of breaking these patterns enables readers to critically evaluate traditional travel narratives and engage with a variety of perspectives. From a postcolonial standpoint, we analyze how Said's work provides a new perspective on the postcolonial world's problems of displacement, belonging, and self-construction.

Résumé: This paper explores the themes of Diaspora and transnationalism in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's collection of short stories “The Thing Around Your Neck”. By deconstructing Nigeria's narratives, Adichie examines the complex experiences of Nigerians living both within and outside their homeland. Through the lens of Diaspora, the story deals with the challenges individuals face navigating cultural, social, and political borders. The paper aims to analyze how Adichie addresses themes of displacement, identity, and the power dynamics inherent in migration. This paper highlights the significance of Adichie's short story in shedding light on the multifaceted experiences of Nigerians in the Diaspora and the power of history in shaping cultural understanding.
