Professeur

Since my PhD thesis, I've been working on materials for optics (or optical materials). These are materials in the form of single crystals, glasses, or fluorescent particles doped with luminescent rare-earth ions. We're exploring applications in the fields of solid-state laser materials, temperature probes, and even applications in photovoltaic cells by improving their quantum efficiency by depositing a layer of glass doped with rare-earth ions. I'm also interested in materials that can generate white light from blue-green (or yellow)-red emission lines for applications as white light sources.
