As an associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at UBMA University and a researcher at the EMMAL Laboratory, I have a multidisciplinary background in microbiology, ecology, and environmental engineering. My research addresses pressing environmental challenges by examining the dynamic responses of bacterial communities to environmental changes such as eutrophication and global warming, which can lead to harmful cyanobacterial blooms. Moreover, we explore the functioning of aquatic ecosystems (water and sediments) in response to pollution from various sources, with particular emphasis on bioremediation approaches, including the use of nanotechnology in water treatment.
