Résumé: This article discusses cybercrime from various perspectives, starting with an overview of its definition and impact on individuals, institutions, and states. It also addresses the different types of cybercrimes, such as cyber-attacks, electronic fraud, industrial espionage, and data breaches. The article highlights the legal efforts made to combat these crimes at both international and national levels, including international agreements like the Budapest Convention of 2001 and the United Nations Convention of 2024. Additionally, it discusses national efforts through laws that criminalize cybercrimes and the establishment of the Algerian National Cybercrime Prosecutor's Office to tackle crimes related to information and communication technologies. Finally, the article touches upon the challenges related to the violation of digital privacy in the context of combating cybercrime and the need for legal safeguards to prevent the infringement of individuals' fundamental rights.
