Résumé: The present study aimed to test the influence of methanol extract from Rhamnus alaternus L. leaves on the biochemical parameters of normal and diabetic rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced by an intra-peritoneal injection of 150 mg / kg.bw of alloxane monohydrate after 72 hr of the injection. Rats with a blood glucose level greater than or equal to 280 Mg/dI were considered diabetic. Blood glucose concentration of the tested animals were measured at the beginning as well as on the 3rd, 7th and 14th day after the start of the experiment. On day 14, retro-orbital blood samples taken under anesthesia with petroleum ether. Chromatographic analysis of the crude methanol extract of Rhamnus alaternus L leaves revealed the presence of multiple phenolic components in the major ones: rutin, cinnamic acid, ellagic acid, benzoic acid, and vanillic acid. The methanol extract from leaves of Rhamnus alaternus L. showed a non-significant reduction in blood sugar (P> 0.05). This extract also reduced body weight in a very highly significant way (p <0.0001) as well as improved other biochemical parameters such as serum urea, serum protein, serum creatinine, serum cholesterol and serum triglycerides.
Résumé: ABSTRACT Aim: Calendula suffruticosa ssp. suffruticosa Vahl, Medicinal and Aromatic plant, spontaneous and widespread in the Mediterranean region and in the Northeast of Algeria, is widely used by the local population for its medicinal properties. Methods: The chemical composition of the ethanolic extract of Calendula suffruticosa was established for the first time using GC / MS. The antioxidant activity of the ethanolic extract was evaluated in vitro by the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) test, the FRAP assay and β-carotene bleaching assay. Results: sixty-four compounds are identified by GC/MS analysis, six are predominant: α-linoleic acid (24.20%), linoleic acid (23.58%), Stigmasterol (8.53%), 2-Metyl-Z-4-tetradecene (6.62%) And α-Bisabolol (1.70%). The free radical scavenging by DPPH method indicated that the ethanolic extract of C. suffruticosa showed a very high antioxydant activity with an IC50 = 0.017 ± 1.00 mg / ml. This extract also showed an ability to reduce very high iron with a maximum optical density of 1.157 at a concentration of 0.5 mg / ml and an antioxidant activity compared to the β-carotene / linoleic acid test of order of 75 ± 1.02%. Conclusion: These results show for the first time the richness of phytochemicals and the strong antioxidant activity of the species Calendula suffruticosa endemic to north-east of Algeria. Résumé: This current study was focused on the effect of waste water used to irrigate tomato plantation (Lycopersicom lycopersicum, ISMA F1 variety) and its relationship with a morphological, flowering and productivity parameters of these plants. The study was carried out during vegetative cycle of this plant at different levels according to four water categories used in irrigation (T0, T1, T2 and T3). All biometric variables were measured and correlated. Our results show a significant effect of water reused (after treatment) on the growth of plants. This water used had high level of fertilizers, elements which allow all plants to growth normally. According to all data obtained from this study, we suggest that this method to be used in order to manage these resources positively and reduce the cost of different fertilizers. Résumé: Summary Our experimental study consists in carrying out an agronomic experiment on irrigation with waste water (domestic) whose experimental block is composed as follows: 04 water treatment, 02 crops (tomato) and (green bean), cultivate on 02 soils: ( a) heavy, (b) light, the whole forms a block of 80 pots, with frequent irrigation with field capacity (cc). Physicochemical analyzes are performed with comparative statistical laws to define good water quality for agricultural purposes.
